The Orlo House Wedding
Won’t you be my neighbor? When you hear this, you probably think of the classic television show, “Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood”. But for us, what comes to mind is how Tonya and Jonathan’s relationship all started. We also happen to think of the socks Jonathan wore at their The Orlo House Wedding as surprise to his soon to be wife. Because their love?
It all began as two unknowing neighbors.
This rhetorical question also has all the answers when asking about Tonya and Jonathan’s relationship. Like an inside joke that was familiar to every guest in the room.
To the guests who would witness a love at it’s finest.
One might chalk it up to coincidence that the official movie trailer about Mr. Rodgers was released the same day as their wedding. That Jonathan would choose to wear Mr. Rodgers socks as a surprise for Tonya during their first look.
But, we know that it is so much more than a coincidence.
You see, every speech throughout the wedding day mentioned how perfect everything has aligned for Tonya and Jonathan. About how their love that began as neighbors, was truly a divine plan. From Tonya’s Father, to the prayer before dinner, to Tifanee’s Matron of Honor and Amy’s Best Woman’s speech.
And everything in between.
They all spoke about how they were destined to be more than neighbors. That they were truly destined to be a family, and when you pair the handyman work (😉) of Jonathan with the incredible motherhood of Tonya, there is no question that they have the foundation for a lifelong legacy.
A legacy that will last the test of time.
Tonya and Jonathan, to say that you two have the most incredible hearts truly just falls flat. Growing up, Shauna was lucky enough to have what she calls her “Bonus Dad”. A Step-dad who was willing to step in and treat her and her siblings as if they were his own. Still to this day, when he introduces any of them, he introduces them as his daughters. It was over the years that she learned just how lucky she was to have him in her life, and not just for her own good, but because he loves her mother fiercely. A love that she so deserves. Watching you two with Selah and Hadley… as former teachers ourselves… man.
We just can see that you two have got it.
Your The Orlo House Wedding showed that you have a partnership. A team. Filled with love, and and consistency, and patience. We are so incredibly happy for not just the two of you, but for all of your families. Because we know in our hearts, so many prayers were answered when you found each other, and we are so much better off for having the chance to know you two.
Cheers to all that your legacy holds for your families in the future.
Hugs and lots of love,
Shauna and Jordon
