As light and airy natural light photographers, Haus 820 is literally the most perfect blank slate of a wedding venue. So when the time came to plan our Cooney Classroom, we knew in our hearts that it was the most perfect ever. From the clean white walls to the wrap around floor to ceiling windows, photographing in this venue is an absolute dream.
Pair that with planning done by Angelina from The Apostolic Wife, and it is a recipe for perfection.
Angelina perfectly executed a classic black tie event with the most subtle romantic touches through her planning and vendor choices. With a clean head table donned with overflowing greenery and florals by Northside Florist lined with candlesticks atop geometric bases, chairs at the head table from A Chair Affair, and modern yet romantic invitations by The Moxie Workshop, and the most stunning hair and makeup by Ashlee Ann paired with a long sleeved gown from The White Closet, the day was absolute perfection from beginning to end. Add in the vow banner by Mac Calligraphy, and the Sandra and Matt had literally the most perfect backdrop for their love.
And as for Sandra and Matt? Well, you could say that they stole the show.
But oh they so deserved it. They deserved the cotton candy from Cake a Pig, the gelato from The Gelato Carte Tampa, and cafe’s courtesy of Cafe Carte Tampa Bay (because let’s be honest, every Cooney Couple deserves caffeine and sweets).
And one of our favorite touches planned by Angelina? The geometric and gold cake from Laurel and Oak Cake Designs. It was like the cherry on top that pulled so many of the elements together.
But Sandra and Matt deserved it even more than most.
The deserved it because of the years of love that they have shared. They deserved it because of the lack of images that they have received in the past on their own wedding day. Because the truth of it is you guys, that when all is said and done, the images are truly all that is left. And for Sandra and Matt? The were left more than disappointed and hurt.
So when it came time to fine models for Day 1 of our Cooney Classroom and Sandra and Matt volunteered, and we heard their story…
It was a no brainer.
Sandra and Matt, even though we haven’t gotten to photograph your family session yet (but are so excited to do so next Friday!) we are so incredibly thankful that you volunteered for this session with us. We are honored to be the ones to get to photograph your love. A love that is so deserving of incredibly images to last the test of time. For your little girl and boy to look at one day and know in there hearts what true love looks like. So your son can strive to love his future wife the way Matt loves you Sandra. So your daughter can look at you Sandra and know what elegance, beauty, and independence looks like. So she can know her own worth through your eyes. It may be a few years late, but we are so proud to be able to call you two a Cooney Couple now. And though we cannot go back in time to recreate your wedding day pictures for you, we hope with all of our hearts that these will be even just a small light in your lives as you rethink back on your love for the years to come.
Hugs and lots of love,
Shauna and Jordon
